N. A. Vague's artistic practice aims to challenge rigid thinking by promoting open-mindedness and a gentle sense of humor. Drawing on her background in advertising and media, she reflects on various trends and phenomena in popular culture, such as marketing terminology, advertising imagery, artificial intelligence, and social media, while applying playfulness and subtle wit across different mediums.
"Ultimately, I want to encourage audiences to embrace a more fluid, slightly tongue-in-cheek perspective on the world around them."
Vague (born in Berlin, Germany) initially studied advertising and marketing. Before sharing her art with the world, she worked in a variety of jobs across the media industry, including at The Walt Disney Company and the TV Show Big Brother. Vague had been nominated for the Merck-Preis and repeatedly shortlisted at the Sony World Photography Awards. She participated in The Royal Photographic Society's International Photography Exhibition and an interactive installation at the Pavillon 333 of the Pinakothek der Moderne. N. A. Vague lives in Munich, Germany.
