FOUR GREEN BEINGS LIVE IN MY HOME

In the cluttered corners of my home, four green beings lie dormant, springing to life only at the sound of my camera shutter.
“Click!” They jolt awake, pirouetting comically. They whisper secrets in playful tunes and strike poses that would make any fashion model green with envy. While the flashes flicker, they forge shenanigans out of the mundane.
And then, just as quickly, they freeze again.

Loosely inspired by Ed Ruscha's photographic work, I chose random green objects from my home to photograph them isolated against a light pink backdrop. However, in front of my camera, they began to move. The real suddenly appeared surreal.
"Four Green Beings Live in My Home" consists of four resulting images accompanied by a brief text. While this project illustrates the narrative and aesthetic qualities of everyday objects as well as the "magic" of the medium of photography, it also hints at the use of personification in advertising. In commercials and advertisements, objects are frequently charged with human traits to influence consumers' perceptions and emotions toward a product or brand.
